Covid-19 Policy Update

COVID-19 UPDATE:  December 2020

Following the recent news of entering into Tier 5, we write to advise our Patients' that we are very fortunate to be able to remain OPEN for some services because they are classified as "essential healthcare".  The key services currently available at our premises are:  Osteopathy, Herbal Medicine, Acupuncture, Podiatry and Psychotherapy.

Regretfully, Massage with Carol Melrose is not classed as a key service and neither is Reflexology with Nikky Dugdale, therefore, both have been postponed at our clinic until further notice.

Receptionists are working at the clinic on shifts, Monday to Friday, to meet the needs of our busy reception.  We will assist you as best as we can and aim to answer your enquiries within 1-2 working days. We do not have Receptionists working on Saturdays or Sundays, therefore, phone calls and emails will remain unanswered until Monday onwards.

Other Practitioners' such as Counsellor's and Hypnotherapists may be able to offer appointments on Skype/Zoom/phone.

"Walk-In" patients who wish to purchase over-the-counter products are currently required to telephone us before arriving at our Clinic because we are operating by appointments only. 

We kindly urge you not to attend any appointments or enter our clinic if you have any of the following Coronavirus symptoms: 

  • A high temperature; this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

  • A new, continuous cough; this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (or if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste; this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

We would like to reassure you by informing you of the safety precautions we are taking at the Aston Clinic. We continue to monitor the information and advice released by the WHO, the UK Government & PHE concerning the spread and containment of COVID-19.

- We are temperature screening all visitors upon arrival to the clinic

- Patients are required to wear face masks upon entering the clinic

- Patients are required to wash hands or use hand sanitiser on arrival

- Practitioners wash their hands & forearms or use hand sanitiser between patients

- Practitioners wear full PPE such as: surgical masks;  & aprons which are decontaminated between patients

- Staff & Practitioners measure their own temperatures in the morning

- Treatment tables, hard surfaces, payment machines and door handles are sanitised regularly

- We allow a minimum of 15 minutes between appointments in order to minimise overlap in the waiting    room; physical distancing is in place where possible

- Patients are advised to wait outside/in car and not arrive early

- Please do not enter our clinic if you have been abroad in the last 2 weeks or you have been advised by Test &Trace to self-isolate
